Patchwork Piecing Shapes

Hexagons  

Sizes:  ½"   ¾"   1”  1¼”  1½"  1 ⅝ "  2"  2 ½ " 3"  3 ½ " finished sides.

Elongated hexagon and Honeycomb shape 1" also available. 

All sizes available in piecing papers.  Fabric can be cut for you

in all but the largest size

Two large hexagons with 4” and 3¼” sides... ideal  for ‘quilt as you go’

 projects.      Thin wadding can be die cut.

Dresden Plate   

Large for a a 14” block ...16  pointed petals

Small for a 6" block.... 8 rounded petals

Squares  6½"    5’’  4½  3½"    2½”    1½ "   1" 

A “four patch” made from 3½" blocks, is a good partner to the 6½" block.

Make 5" blocks from floral scraps, plains and checks.

Rectangles   6½ x 3½"    

Hearts and Gizzards 

A traditional two colour design,

using both appliqué and piecing.

Finished block measures 12" x 12"

Grandmother’s Fan    

Eight 9" blades and a quarter circle make up these Grandmother's
Fans which are appliqued onto a 12" background.

Sixty Degree Diamonds   

Side Sizes  1" 1¼" 1½ "  2"  2½ " 2⅜"   3"   3⅝

Used for Tumbling Blocks and Six Pointed Star

Light, medium and dark  fabric  threesomes.

Equilateral Triangles

Spools (Double Axe)    

5¾" x 4½

Stripes and florals can be mixed with the “Plain Janes”

 of your stash.  A marking template or  piecing papers

Bow Tie  

These two basic shapes make up this 6½” block.

Great for 1930’s fabrics.

Drunkards Path    

Traditional shapes that can be made into many different designs.

Finished 4" block made up from contrasting concave and convex pieces 

Make the curve with piecing papers and machine piece the blocks

together

Irregular Pentagon    

sizes:  1" and 2"sides

             1⅝" and 3¼"

              1⁷/₈ " and 3¾"

an attractive scrap braid or plait quilt.
